Meanwhile, a seperate incident has overshadowed talks over foreign peackeeping troops in Afghanistan... A Turkish military helicopter has crashed into a house near the capital Kabul, killing 12 Turkish soliders and two Afghan civilians. The Turkish government said the helicopter appeared to crash while trying to make an emergency landing. Afghan President Hamid Karzai is now calling for a withdrawal of foreign troops from his country as early as next year. That could also affect the German Bundeswehr and throw into question the West's Afghanistan strategy.
