Beating the drum for Günter Grass

German literary giant Günter Grass died on Monday at the age of 87. The Tin Drum, established him as one of the country's leading writers and in 1999 he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. Politicians, the media and colleagues have been paying tribute to him. Kate Müser from DW's culture department told Helen Seeney how she assessed Grass' contribution to German and world literature.
