Discover Germany explores the must-see sights in Berlin. Deciding where to go can be overwhelming because there is so much to do. Veteran visitors say the best approach is to take a deep breath and get an overview first. That’s why the Pinna family from Italy is going on a bus tour of Berlin’s most important sights - including the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, the city’s leafy, central boulevard Unter den Linden, and Potsdamer Platz. They make some stops along the route. One is at the world’s largest cylindrical aquarium, the Aquadom. There the family steps into a glass elevator for a voyage through a colorful, underwater world. Then it’s time to visit the museum dedicated to Communist East Germany and Berlin’s past as a divided city. It features playful, interactive exhibits designed to give visitors an impression of daily life under the Communist regime. The last stop is devoted to entertainment as the family takes in the musical "Queen" at the city’s "Theater des Westens".
