Bundesliga: Bayern rampant, Cologne win derby

Bayern's quest to win games in 45 minutes continued, unsurprisingly, against Stuttgart. 23 shots later and Stuttgart's goal frame started to look like a piece of training equipment. Lewandowski now has 14 in the league this season, Müller 11. Things calmed down in the second half, but Holger Badstuber returned after 200 days out to seal a perfect day for Pep Guardiola

Leverkusen 1-2 Cologne

It was a bad day for Papadopoulos and Roger Schmidt. First the Greek defender assisted the visitor's opener, and then he foolishly saw red for a last-man foul in the second half. Dominic Maroh though, probably had the best day of his career. He hardly had to move for his second header, but Cologne did move above Leverkusen in the table after this win. The local bragging rights belong to Peter Stöger's men this weekend.

Mainz 2-0 Wolfsburg

Julian Draxler being sent off after 15 minutes ruined Wolfsburg's chance of turning three consecutive league wins into four. A red card for a high foot on Gonzalo Jara was harsh considering Draxler never even saw his opponent. The fastest red card this season was followed by a mistake from Diego Benaglio and Pablo de Blasis took advantage. Yunus Malli added a quality second to give Mainz their first win in four and leave Wolfsburg in a very catchable third spot.

Gladbach 0-0 Ingolstadt

Despite being the side going for seven consecutive wins, Gladbach were second best in the first half. In the second 45, Andre Schubert's side were better but the game descended into an aggressive array of poor tackles. Granit Xhaka, unsurprisingly, was the man to see red for a late lunge, but Gladbach nearly nicked it at the last. Only the outstretched arm of Ramazan Özcan denied Thorgan Hazard from being a hero.

Darmstadt 1-1 Hamburg

Hamburg were better in the first half, Darmstadt in the second, but conceding 61 seconds after the restart leaves Hamburg the more frustrated of the two sides. One win in their last six and only four goals in their last eight still leaves some question marks about how much further HSV can go under Bruno Labbadia.

Hoffenheim 0-0 Eintracht Frankfurt

Even though Huub Stevens started Kevin Kuranyi, Hoffenheim ended up doing far more defending than attacking. Oliver Baumann was busy in the first half, and in the second. Of all the chances, Aleksandar Ignjovski missed the best. Two games, two goalless draws for Huub Stevens at Hoffenheim now.
