# In Afghanistan, one German soldier has been killed and six others wounded in a suicide bombing. The attack targetted a Bundeswehr patrol in the northern province of Baglan. Germany has the third largest contingent of foreign troops in Afghanistan. They are based in the north which has seen an recent upsurge in attacks.
