Traditionally good relations between Germany and India have witnessed a boost in recent years. Whether it's bilateral trade, student and cultural exchange, scientific and information technology cooperation or political issues, the two countries are enjoying ever-growing ties reinforced by regular high-level meetings and consultations.

But, even on an everyday level, there's little doubt that India is increasingly making its presence felt in Germany. Whether it's Bollywood, bhangra or chicken vindaloo, India and its popular culture enjoy immense popularity in Germany.

As German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder meets with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Delhi this week as part of a wider Asia tour, DW-WORLD has put together a collection of articles on the issues that bind the two countries.
