It's summer here in Europe when many people's thoughts turn to sunshine and holidays. But in Latvia, between June and September thousands of people attend so called cemetery celebrations where they commemorate their dead and meet relatives and friends. Now, a team of Latvian researchers has published the first study about these celebrations which date back to the 19th century.
