Controversial Olympic Games in China are starting - je 08.08.2008 10

Seven years of planning and 26 billion euros. That is what it has taken to stage this year's olympic games in Beijing. China says it hopes the Games will be the greatest and the most lavish in the history of the competition. But the run-up to the Games has been dogged by problems - air pollution and media censorship to name two. Beijing has also been criticized over its human rights record. But it also promises to be a joyous occasion and few are more enthusiastic than the people of China.
