Entry regulations

Travelers from the EU and Schengen zone must no longer show proof they are vaccinated or have recently recovered from COVID.

The same entry requirements apply to those traveling to the Azores on direct international flights. Currently, there are no requirements to travel to the autonomous region of Madeira.

COVID rules for daily life

Visiting hotels, restaurants and events is possible without the need to show any COVID-19 documentation.

But wearing a face mask remains mandatory when using public transport, visiting hospitals and care homes.

The Azores and Madeira have different regulations. More information is available from the regional governments of the Azores and Madeira.
