# Germany's central bank has called on the German President to fire board member Thilo Sarrazin for his controversial statements about Turkish and Arabic immigrants being incapable of integrating into German society. Sarrazin, a long standing member of the Social Democrats, is also facing expulsion from the party for his comments. The SPD’s domestic policy spokesman says integration though should not become a taboo subject - and that it promised to be “the mega-issue of the next year”.
