# The European Union's Justice Commissioner has delivered an unprecedented public rebuke to the French government over its expulsion of Roma groups. Viviane Reding called Paris's handling of the situation "a disgrace" and said the commission was considering legal action against France for breaching EU rules on the freedom of movement.
