The city's architecture suffered a severe blow under communist rule, with no less than a fifth of the old city center being demolished.

Large parts of the old city center were demolished to make way for Soviet style buildings. But fortunately some parts of the old center did survive and now they are a major tourist attraction. We met up with a young artist by the name of Adrian Bogdan who showed us around "his" Bucharest.
