How pop culture predicted a female president

A woman might land in the White House for the first time. In pop culture, different ladies have already filled the position - but not many of these presidents should serve as role models for Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton has made history by becoming the first female candidate to be nominated for the presidency by a major US political party. Should she prevail against Republican candidate Donald Trump at the November 8 election, she will become the United States' first woman leader.

A woman at the top? That's not a scenario that Clinton dreamed up. It's been in the minds of countless artists and script writers for decades. Unfortunately, however, most of the fictional female US presidents haven't done so well - and many didn't even manage to keep their jobs.
