Thousands gathered in the Iranian capital for a funeral honoring the leader of the Palestinian party and militant group Hamas. Haniyeh was also the chief negotiator in talks aimed at reaching a ceasefire with Israel. He was killed in an airstrike in Tehran. Iran holds Israel responsible for the killing and has said Israel will regret the move.
