India: Kerala temple deploys robotic elephant for rituals

Elephants play an important role in Kerala during temple festivals, but are often chained and made to stand for hours in extreme temperatures. A temple in the South Indian state has introduced a robotic elephant to conduct its rituals. Could this bring a change in tradition?
