Italian officials this week held high level meetings with controversial Libyan warlord, General Khalifa Haftar. He has a stronghold on much of eastern Libya, where militias under his control have been accused of committing war crimes. As Megan Williams reports, Europe - and Italy - seem willing to deal with less than trustworthy players to help keep a lid on a political hot potato at home.
