Inside Europe: Slovakia softens stance on immigration

Slovakia has been vocal in refusing to accept EU imposed refugee quotas. Now, Prime Minister Robert Fico has come up with a softer stance: a new proposal of what he calls ‘effective solidarity’ to counter the EU. The proposal was first floated at a summit in Bratislava last week held as part of the Slovak presidency of the European Council. From Bratislava Julian Berner reports.
