Belarussian writer Svetlana Alexievich was chosen as the winner of 2013 Peace Prize of the German Book Trade for her descriptions of Soviet and post-Soviet life. DW reporter Alexandra von Nahmen sat down with her and asked about her inspiration as well as her thoughts on the past, present and future.
