Measles

June 26, 2014

Measles is a disease transmitted via tiny droplets. The disease can infect anyone who has not had the measles vaccination. Left untreated, it can lead to serious complications, including middle ear infections, bronchitis, pneuomonia and even meningitis. It's only possible to treat the symptoms of the disease. To be protected for life, you need an initial shot followed by a booster shot.

The first vaccination you get is only effective for about five years.
