News of the massive international bailout plan has done little to change the mood in Greece

Greece's finance minister is due to take part in talks with the International Monetary Fund in Washington on Saturday, a day after his country asked for an EU and IMF bailout of its debt-ridden economy. The German Economy minister said, a decision over when and how much financial aid will be given to Greece will come after ten days at the earliest. Chancellor Angela Merkel says the multi-billion Euro package will only be activated if Athens implements tough reform policies. The country needs to raise an extra 9 billion Euros before the end of May, to cover its obligations. Most of that is expected to be provided by Europe's largest economy, Germany.
