Parlamentary elections: Merkel has won Germany's election and received enough votes to govern in coalition with the FDP

So Angela Merkel has won a second term as German Chancellor. Though (as we heard) her conservative bloc lost support slightly - those losses were offset by the huge gains made by its coalition partner - the Free Democrats. The Chancellor is now preparing for tough negotiations with the FDP on policy issues, but not before savouring her victory. +++ SYN-MAZ +++
