Reggae Stars: Gentleman and Ky-Mani Marley

Tilmann Otto, aka Gentleman, is Germany’s best-known reggae singer. Recently he met up with Ky-Mani Marley, son of Bob Marley. Their collaboration resulted in “Conversations”, an album recorded in Miami and Cologne.

Dirk Darmstaedter’s first hit was “Brand New Toy”, released with the band The Jeremy Days in 1989. Today the Hamburg artist has a successful solo career. He’s now touring with his thirteenth album, “Beautiful Criminals”.

CLASSIC: OFF – Electrica Salsa (1986)

Electrica Salsa was a milestone for electronic dance music from Germany. And for producers Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti it was the start of a successful pop career. Their Eurodance project Snap! landed many international hits and OFF frontman Sven Väth went on to an international DJ career.
