Saudi prince arrested for alleged sex crime in LA

A Saudi prince was detained by Los Angeles police for allegedly trying to force a worker at a Beverly Hills mansion to perform a sex act.

Los Angeles police arrested Saudi Arabian Prince Majed Abdulaziz al-Saud on Wednesday after a neighbor reported seeing a bleeding woman trying to scale the walls of a Beverly Hills mansion.

According to police, the 28-year-old prince was arrested for allegedly attempting to force the woman - a worker at the mansion - to perform a sex act.

Al-Saud spent a night in jail before posting $300,000 (268,000 euros) bail on Thursday.

It is unclear if he has diplomatic immunity.

A court appearance has been scheduled for October 19.
