# German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said Europe must see off risks to the Euro and establish a new anchor for stability in the eurozone. She said if the euro failed then europe would also fail. Merkel was speaking at the annual conference of her conservative CDU party. She also said she wouldn't let Germany be quote "beaten up" for being a leading exporter. Merkel is using the conference to try and unite her party behind her at time when it is suffering weak approval ratings and internal divisions.
