Around a million people fleeing war in Sudan have sought refuge in neighboring Chad. But Chad is one of the poorest countries in the world. On a recent visit there, German Development Minister Svenja Schulze pointed out how much Chad is doing for refugees from Sudan and also pledged millions of euros in aid to help support those efforts.
