Shaul Ladany - Running for his life

Shaul Ladany is alive today because he can run. He ran away from the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. And he escaped a terrorist attack at the 1972 Munich Olympics by running away. Today, Ladany is 81 years old -- and he's still running.

As a child, Shaul Ladany survived the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp by running away. Running became the driving force in his life. He was on the Israeli Olympic team as a racewalker at the 1972 Munich games. And he witnessed the hostage-taking by Palestinian terrorists. He survived because he managed to run away again. Shaul Ladany has been running his entire life, and he's still going. Now 81 years old, he takes part every year in the International Four Days Marches Nijmegen in the Netherlands.
