Resistance among the German population to the government's package of labor and social welfare reforms, Agenda 2010, is declining, according to a survey conducted by Infratest dimap on behalf of German public broadcaster, ARD. The results published on Friday showed that a majority of 47 percent of the population think Agenda 2010 is the right way to go, while 34 percent responded that the reforms were a step in the wrong direction. In a similar survey conducted by the political and election research institution in May 2003, Agenda 2010 evenly split supporters and opponents with 45 percent each.
