The Dalai Lama says he will step down as Tibet's political leader if violence gets worse in the province. The announcement comes after Chinese premier Wen Jiabao said his government had evidence that supporters of the Dalai Lama incited violent protests in Tibet. Speaking to reporters, Wen said the recent anti-China protests were aimed at spoiling the summer Olympics in Beijing. The Dalai Lama has rejected accusations that he is behind the unrest.
