Kay HagedornJune 11, 2008

US President George W. Bush is in Germany where he's due to hold talks later today with Chancellor Angela Merkel as part of a week-long tour of Europe. Bush arrived from Slovenia where he attended a summit with European Union leaders. This will likely be Bush's last transatlantic trip before leaving office in January, giving him one a final opportunity to put his stamp on foreign relations. Despite the casual backdrop for the president's visit with Merkel, the two leaders have important international issues on their agenda.
