# The polls have opened in Kosovo's first general election, since declaring independence from Serbia in 2008. More than one-and-a-half Mmillion voters are eligible to take part. But Western observers are concerned that a boycott by the country's 100-thousand Serbs could jeopardise the ballot's legitimacy.
