South Africa has plenty of experience with immigration. Refugees and other migrants from all over Africa are drawn to the continent’s southern tip. And South African law grants asylum seekers more rights there than the UN Refugee Convention demands. But not all is as great as it seems on paper. What can European countries experiencing an influx of refugees right now learn from South Africa?
