德国朝圣者告别教皇

2013年2月27日

教皇本笃十六世将于2月28日正式退位。不少德国天主教徒特地赶往罗马,参加他最后一次接见信徒的公开活动,向这位来自德国的教皇告别。

巴伐利亚的骄傲

一个正确的决定

艾欣格也认为教皇做出了正确的决定。对于今年3月将由枢机主教团选举产生的新教皇,他也充满信心,"我相信这还会是一个出色的教皇。天主教是一个世界性的宗教,国籍并不重要,这是一种感情的纽带。我们巴伐利亚人就对本笃十六世有特殊的感情。"

最后的朝觐

天主教会的教士后继乏人、梵蒂冈教廷泄密案、苏格兰红衣主教因性侵指控辞职,这些大大小小的危机和丑闻并不是圣彼得广场上人们谈论的话题。朝圣者们只希望对即将引退的教皇说谢谢。

罗马市政府估计,本周三会有20万名朝圣者和观众聚集到这里。警方已经关闭了从圣彼得教堂通向天使堡的街道,以便让人们有更多的空间。本笃十六世最后一次公开接见教徒的活动从觐见大厅移到了圣彼得广场上。数日来,罗马的朝圣者人数不断增加。媒体和旅店业在为即将到来的教皇选举做准备。前者搭起了摄像机,后者提高了住宿价格。
